It is imperative that Facebook, as a major player in the digital landscape, takes a proactive stance in upholding the sanctity of human life and the rights of vulnerable populations. This responsibility is particularly pressing in a country that has endured over three decades of turmoil.Moreover, the comments and videos posted on Facebook often serve as a breeding ground for conflict instigators, perpetuating divisiveness among the populace. This is a concerning development, as it risks amplifying the voices of those who may not possess a nuanced understanding of the complexities at play. The platform has become a primary source of information for many Somalis, influencing political discourse and decision-making.In light of these observations, it is imperative that we advocate for a more responsible use of Facebook in the context of Somalia.
